The Leaning Cedar Tree Cabin
Welcome to the Leaning Cedar Tree Cabin! The Leaning Cedar Tree Cabin is the perfect adventure getaway. Our remote log cabin is bordered by the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness on one side, and surrounded by Boreal forest and the gently flowing North Kawishiwi River on the other.
Accessible only by water across Farm Lake at entry point 31 in the BWCA, the cabin’s zen-like simplicity will captivate your soul, and welcome you with warmth and serenity. The cabin is kept cozy by the wood burning stove, modern gas range, propane fridge and lights, but is still comfortably rustic without electricity or modern plumbing.
The kitchen is fully equipped with even a cork screw to open that wonderful bottle of wine. Clean drinking water is provided, plus plush down bedding and soft organic cotton sheets and towels. The wood fired sauna will cleanse body and spirit. Fall asleep to the sounds of Loons in the summer and the crackling fire in winter. Relax on the deck overlooking the BWCA or in your own private forest.
Also included: 1 Kevlar canoe, 2 sea kayaks, 2 fun open hull kayaks, and a small row boat. We have 2 more Kevlar canoes for rent at $20/day. Interested in renting a motorized fishing boat to use on the chain of lakes next to the cabin, or interested in a guided fishing trip from the cabin? Check out www.moosetrackadventures.com In the winter, rent snow shoes and back country skis in Ely. Whether you come in summer to paddle and fish, or in winter to ski and snowshoe, we’ll help plan your outdoor activities. Most importantly, we want you to enjoy the peace and solitude at the Leaning Cedar Tree Cabin.
